We have several openings for postdoctoral fellows interested in dissecting the neural circuits underlying fundamental cognitive processes. We use the latest two-photon imaging tools together with optogenetic and chemogenetic manipulations in behaving mice and marmosets to study the neuronal circuits involved in perceptual categorization, decision-making, short-term memory and motor planning. Candidates with a PhD in neuroscience or related fields such as engineering, mathematics or physics are encouraged to apply. Excellent programming skills, steady hands, and a strong analytical background are essential. Prior experience with imaging, animal behavior, or computational modeling is a plus. The Instittue of Neuroscience of Chinese Academy of Sciences provides world class neuroscience facilities and research environment.
